I think this is major as most people tend to lie to themselves about anything important (yeah I said it, and?) so doing this Life Assessment is like an ULTIMATE truth session that ANYBODY can benefit from.

Initially I was all set to take a pic of my entry (I still like paper & pen vs a keyboard & machine) but, as this should for anyone, got a little too personal. If your answers don't shake you & rock you to your core, I don't think you're being honest enough with yourself. Either that or your life is just so peachy dandy perfect that you don't need to do this.

Alright folks, starting today I'm on a plan to make improvements in my life. Check out Happy Black Woman's "31 Days to Reset Your Life Challenge" 


I'm a passionately creative person, but I'm at a point in my journey through life that is overdue for focus, re-evaluation, & major positive improvement/change. I tell people don't wait till the new year for resolutions; if you need to do better, do it now! Lucky for me, this challenge showed up on my screen just in time.

So I got my notebook, a cool sketchbook my good friend gave me last time she visited the states this year.

& I think I finally have my personal mantra...

"I release feelings of unworthiness and embrace the knowing that I AM WORTHY!   All love, abundance and joy finds me with style!   Confidence is my middle name.   Bring it on!"

So here I go, hello reset, hello rediscovery, hello finding me.

The temp dropped so low last night I cursed myself for going out & today we have snow. Damn you Chicago, I'd like to go jogging again...outside...but what's the temp again? LOL Wait snow? I need to go take pictures!

Oh yeah, Tall Ships...need to handle that. Also did some cemetery shots...yeeehaw!

Of course I'm late putting these up but any photographer knows how easy it is to forget photos you've taken when you're CONSTANTLY taking shots.

About 100 images to filter through I will post in the next few days. All were taking with my former cellular HTC Dream/G1. Yeah I know RIGHT! Further proof that it don't take an expensive camera all the time, but a damn good eye. (sometimes the Nikon is just too much to carry for me)

I said former cellular right? Now I'm on the G2 & that puppy has a flash...*evil chuckle* NOW NOTHING CAN STOP ME when I'm just out & about!

Out & About - Revised

I know I owe you all a bunch of images. I'm still doing promotional marketing so I've had my hands full. Throw in winter in Chicago & you've got a chick that would rather bundle up on the couch than stroll the streets observing the sites.

So while handing out Forbes Magazines back in Oct, I took these shots. As I look through my files I realize I've forgotten plenty, including the Tall Ships Tour. Oh I gotta lotta work to do.

Updating

So for the past hour & a half I've been working on customizing the look of this blog.

Of course I'd like feedback.

Presently I've done a custom background. & working on a banner.

Think I should add some music widget? Maybe not, y'all know I don't care if a song is explicit or not.

I really appreciate Blogspot offering this advanced customization. One day, I will get back into coding on this level (at one point I could custom layout coding for LiveJournal). But like the average person, codes can look like a foreign language.

...but I like the challenge of cracking the code.

I FINALLY got my lens & I've been shooting. The most challenging part of photography is choosing what images to share.

As I suspected, I'll be needing a 200 lens for my awesome eye of work.

I know I'm slow with them, but more will come.

Waiting

Folks I've gotten blessed again. Another camera is getting passed down to me, a Nikon D-50 & I'm geeked. I'm just waiting for the lens to get to the store so I can start shooting again. Don't get me wrong I have had a great time with the Kodak but I've scratched the lens quite horribly & I can't get the depth of range in shots that I so prefer.

I'm still getting shots in on the cell phone. I'm looking forward to spring & getting back out to try some new subject work.

My apologies for the lack of posts, but winter has really been the biggest pain my ass. Tell old man to get gone already!
